Not sure why 213 Wilbrod St has not been condemned by the city. Do not rely on Facebook photos posted back in 2014 to sign a lease sight unseen!!! The building does not appear to have been maintained since then...and their website has stated 'photos coming soon' for several months... Mold, broken windows, unsafe entrance and 'fire escape', holes in the walls, missing smoke detectors, wires hanging loose all over the building, missing light fixtures, coin washing machine doesn't drain, coin dryer doesn't dry - even after multiple cycles (frightening fire hazard!). Ottawa Student Housing does not take concerns seriously and addesses the absolute bare minimum that they can get away with because they know kids/students are desperate for somewhat affordable accommodations and can't stand up for themselves. Structurally, the back wall of the building is noticeably bowing out and the floors are so slanted there's about a 4-6"+ drop from one end of the room to the other (not sure how long before the back wall gives out and part of the building collapses). This company is the epitome of 'slumlord' and should be ASHAMED of the condition of this residence. If they had done a little upkeep/maintenance over the years, and hadn't let the place deteriorate so badly, the insane monthly cost to rent a room would be easier to swallow.
